What's New in 2024

Design is forever changing, but we can’t change our kitchens every year. Everyone wants to be up to date but at the same time create a design that will last. At Urban Kitchens we collaborate with the homeowner to create designs appropriate for the design of the home and incorporate current design trends.

While white kitchens will never go out of date, this year new colors, wood cabinetry and sustainability are at the top of the list. Warmer colors, such as terra cotta, natural browns and cream whites, are popular and provide a backdrop for more wood cabinetry and natural stone countertops. Dusty greens and blues are popular. Light and medium toned wood cabinets by themselves or combined with painted cabinets are showing up with modern door styles including skinny shaker doors and elegant slab doors.

With more choices than ever it can be more difficult for homeowners to make design decisions. This is where the designers at Urban Kitchens can help. We come to your home. We listen to your ideas and what you want to accomplish with your project. We craft a design concept, scope of work and budget that begins defining your project. And, we work with you to create a final plan, select the materials and build your project. Our clients are never disappointed.

Good kitchen design is more than Pinterest photos. It is a combination of experience, education, determination and hard work. Our goal is for every time our clients walk into the kitchen they smile and think “I love my kitchen!”
